A Theme Park on Shanghai's Southern Edge

Legoland Shanghai Resort sits in Fengjing town, Jinshan district—the southern fringe of the city, a good distance from the downtown core. Described as the world's largest Legoland park, it was scheduled to open on July 5, 2025. The resort can be reached by four different modes of transportation.

That southern location means your starting point, group size and appetite for transfers all shape which option works best. It's worth sorting this out before you head to the park rather than improvising on the day.

Four Ways to Get There—at a Glance

High-speed train to Jinshan North

The park is within 1 km of Jinshan North Railway Station, and a shuttle bus runs between the station and the park entrance. Daily departures leave from Hongqiao Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station and Songjiang Railway Station, though Songjiang has only one daily service.

Taxi or ride-hailing

Drivers drop passengers near the intersection of Lebin Road and Lefen Road, from where it's a short walk to the park following on-site signs.

Local and specialized buses

Jinshan district planned 12 bus routes serving the resort, including a nonstop Legoland Loop between Jinshan North Railway Station and the park, plus cross-district lines and connections to neighboring provinces.

Taking the Train: Stations, Frequency and the Last Kilometer

Hongqiao Railway Station offers the most departures to Jinshan North—12 trains between 7:29 am and 5:09 pm, with 10 return services running from 7:43 am to 9:12 pm. Shanghai South Railway Station has 5 outbound departures (6:56 am–5:47 pm) and 7 return trains (9:11 am–4:10 pm).

Songjiang Railway Station is more limited: one departure at 12:47 pm heading to Jinshan North and one return at 6:46 pm.

Once you arrive at Jinshan North, a shuttle bus takes you to the park entrance—the park is within 1 km of the station.

If you're staying in central Shanghai, Hongqiao is likely your most practical rail starting point given the frequency of trains. Arriving early gives you the widest choice of return departures later in the day.

Driving In: Expressway Exits and Where to Park

  1. Choose your expressway based on your direction of travel. The S36 Tingfeng Expressway's Xingta exit is the closest at 3.5 km from the park. The G60 Hukun Expressway's Fengjing exit is 6 km away. The S32 Shenjiahu Expressway's Zhufeng Road exit is the farthest at 10 km.

  2. For parking, the Aegean · Bingo underground parking lot is the largest option with 4,000 spaces. The Xiuzhoutang parking lot holds 1,525 vehicles. The Legoland Hotel underground parking has 200 spaces reserved for hotel guests and VIPs.

  3. Estimated drive times give you a rough sense of the journey: about 50 minutes from Hongqiao Railway Station, 70 minutes from Pudong airport, 50 minutes from Fengxian, and 80 minutes from People's Square.

Taxis, Ride-Hailing and Local Buses

If you take a taxi or ride-hailing car, you'll be dropped off near the intersection of Lebin Road and Lefen Road, then follow on-site instructions for a short walk to the entrance. For longer stays, taxi drivers can wait for passengers at the Aegean · Bingo underground parking lot.

Several local bus routes also connect Jinshan North Railway Station to the surrounding area. Fengjing Route 7 runs between Fengjing Hub and Jinshan North Railway Station from 6:15 am to 8:15 pm, taking about 30 minutes. Zhujing Route 5 links Jinshan North to Zhujing Bus Station from 7:00 am to 9:10 pm, also about 30 minutes.

The nonstop Legoland Loop covers the 7 km between Jinshan North Railway Station and the resort, starting and ending at the Legoland bus hub. A double-decker tourist bus was also planned to provide shuttle services around the park area.

Before You Go: Confirm the Details

Train times and bus routes can shift, so check the official daily railway schedule for exact departure times before you travel. It's worth confirming shuttle bus and specialized route details closer to your visit, especially if you're counting on a specific return train.
