How it works

Three steps — you message, we arrange, the hospital confirms with you.

1
Tell us what you need

The short form below, or a WhatsApp / WeChat message — about two minutes.

2
We arrange everything

Your trisAino coordinator sets up the visit with United Family — the right hospital, the right department, your insurance checked.

3
You get world-class care

The hospital confirms your doctor, time and cost directly with you, and we stay reachable throughout.

We reply within hours — 24 at most. Traveling with us already? Our Concierge team handles the rest of the trip in the same chat window.

Insurance & direct billing

40+ international insurers direct-bill at United Family — and you never pay trisAino.

If your plan direct-bills

United Family has direct-billing arrangements with 40+ major international insurers. When your plan qualifies, the hospital bills your insurer directly for covered costs — any deductible or co-pay follows your policy's terms.

If it doesn't

You pay the hospital and claim reimbursement afterwards — every visit comes with itemized English receipts in the format most insurers accept.

Healthcare FAQ

How much does a visit cost?

United Family is premium private healthcare — you're paying for internationally trained physicians, short waits and international clinical standards, so it costs more than a Chinese public hospital. The hospital gives you a cost estimate before you commit; nothing is booked until you've seen numbers and said yes. You pay the hospital directly — never trisAino — and every visit ends with an itemized English receipt your insurer can process.

Will my travel or health insurance work there?

United Family has direct-billing arrangements with 40+ major international insurers — when your plan qualifies, the hospital bills your insurer directly for covered costs, so you're not fronting the full bill at the desk; any deductible or co-pay follows your policy's terms. Include your insurer's name in the form and the hospital verifies your plan before your visit. If direct billing doesn't apply, you pay and claim reimbursement afterwards with the itemized English receipts.

I take regular medication — can I get it refilled in China?

Often yes, but it works differently than at home. Chinese pharmacies stock different brands and China doesn't accept foreign prescriptions, so the practical route is a consultation: a United Family physician reviews what you take (bring the original packaging or your prescription) and prescribes an appropriate equivalent from the hospital's own pharmacy. Some medication categories are regulated differently in China — pick "Prescription / medication" in the form and we'll set up the visit; the hospital asks you directly (and securely) which medication you take and confirms what's possible before you go.

What about mental-health medication like ADHD or antidepressants?

This is the area with the strictest rules — several psychiatric medications are controlled substances in China with limited availability, and everything goes through an in-person consultation with a licensed physician. If this is your situation, reach out before you travel if you can: we'll set up the connection with United Family so their clinical team can check with you — directly and confidentially — what's realistic for your specific medication, so you're not finding out at the pharmacy counter.

I got food poisoning / a stomach bug mid-trip. Is that worth a hospital visit?

We can't judge symptoms — that's a doctor's call — but a same-day or next-day appointment for exactly this is what we coordinate fastest. Tell us where you are and how urgent it feels (the form's dropdown, or just message us) and we'll set up the earliest suitable appointment. If it feels severe, that's a different story: call 120 or get to the nearest 24/7 emergency room, don't wait for coordination.

I have a chronic condition. Can I keep my treatment going while in China?

Travelers manage diabetes, autoimmune conditions, IBD and more through United Family — the hospital's specialists handle continuity of care routinely. Bring a summary of your records and your medication list to the appointment; the physician there assesses how to continue your treatment. Our part is getting you to the right specialist at the right hospital, first try.

What do I do in a real emergency?

Call 120 — that's China's ambulance number — or get to the nearest 24/7 emergency room. Don't use the form on this page for emergencies; it's read by people, not monitored around the clock. Once things are stable, message us and we'll help coordinate follow-up care.

trisAino's China Health Gateway is a coordination service. trisAino provides appointment coordination and language support; it is not a medical provider and does not offer diagnosis, treatment or medical advice. All medical services are provided by United Family Healthcare and its licensed physicians, and contacting trisAino does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Submitting a request is not a confirmed appointment; doctor, time, pricing and insurance eligibility are confirmed by the hospital. Insurance coverage depends on your specific plan and your insurer's terms. In an emergency, call 120 (ambulance) or go to the nearest 24/7 emergency room.
